আমরা অনেকে বিদেশে ভ্রমণ করে থাকি কিন্তু অনেকেই জানি না বিদেশ ভ্রমণের পূর্বে কি কি জিনিসের প্রয়োজন হয় বা কি কি জিনিস সম্পর্কে জানতে হয়। জিনিসগুলি হচ্ছে :
১। পাসপোর্ট
২। পাসপোর্টের পেশা অনুযায়ী সেই পেশার বৈধ প্রয়োজনীয় কাগজপত্র।
৩। ভিসা নেওয়ার পূর্বে ব্যাংক থেকে প্রয়োজনীয় ডলার এনডোর্সমেন্ট ও ব্যাংক সলভেন্সি সার্টিফিকেট নেওয়া উচিত।
৪। ট্রাভেল ট্যাক্স, ব্যাংকে জমা দেওয়া উচিত।
৫। কিছু ইন্টারন্যাশনাল কার্ড সাথে নেওয়া উচিত। কার্ডগুলো হচ্ছে :

ইন্টারন্যাশনাল স্টুডেন্ট আইডেন্টিটি কার্ড

৬। যে দেশে/দেশগুলিতে ভ্রমণ করা হবে সেই দেশ সম্পর্কে প্রয়োজনীয় গাইড বই, রুট ম্যাপ ইত্যাদি প্রথমেই সংগ্রহ করা উচিত, তবে সেগুলি নেয সমসাময়িক হয়।
৭। ডলার অপেক্ষা ট্রাভেলার্স চেক (টি.সি) নিয়ে যাওয়া সুবিধাজনক তবে অবশ্যই ট্রাভেলার্স চেক এর ফটোকপি সাথে নেওয়া উচিত।
৮। এয়ারপোর্ট ডলার বা ট্রাভেলার্স চেক (টি.সি) বেশী পরিমাণ ভাঙ্গাতে নেই, কারণ সেখানে কম রেট থাকে।
৯। নিজস্ব পেশা অনুযায়ী প্রচুর পরিমাণ ভিজিটিং কার্ড (ঠমঢ়ময়মষব ঈথড়ন) নেওয়া উচিত।
১০। দেশের ভাবমূর্তি তুলে ধরার জন্য বাংলাদেশের উপর তথ্যমূলক বই, বাংলাদেশ পর্যটন কর্পোরেশনের ট্যুরিস্ট ম্যাপ, ট্যুরিস্ট গাইড বই, পোস্টার, চলচ্চিত্র ও প্রকাশনা অধিদপ্তর থেকে ভিউকার্ড, পোস্টার, বই, বিমান বাংলাদেশ এয়ারলাইন্স থেকে পোস্টার ও অন্যান্য সরকারী বা বেসরকারী প্রতিষ্ঠানসমূহ থেকে বাংলাদেশের উপর তথ্যমূলক বই, পোস্টার, ভিউকার্ড ইত্যাদি সাথে নিয়ে যাওয়া উচিত।
১১। ভ্রমণের সময় নিজের সাথে সব সময় ভিজিটিং কার্ড, কাগজ বা ঠিকানা লেখার ডায়েরী, কলম ও ক্যামেরা রাখা উচিত।
১২। ব্যক্তিগত সাফল্যের প্রশংসা পত্র বা সার্টিফিকেট (ইংরেজী কপি) নিয়ে যাওয়া উচিত।
১৩। নিরাপদে ভ্রমণের জন্য আরো যে সমস্ত জিনিস জানতে বা মানতে হবে সেগুলি হল :
ক) যে দেশে/দেশগুলিতে ভ্রমণ করতে যাবেন সে দেশে/দেশগুলিতে যাওয়ার পূর্বে সেই দেশের রাজনৈতিক অবস্খা/পরিস্খিতি জেনে যাওয়া উচিত।
খ) প্রয়োজনীয় ডকুমেন্টস সাবধানে রাখা এবং প্রত্যেকটি ডকুমেন্টের ফটোকপি আলাদা করে রাখা উচিত। অর্থাৎ আসল ডকুমেন্টগুলো ফটোকপি আলাদা রাখা উচিত। পারলে নিজের পরিবারের কাছে এক সেট ফটোকপি রেখে যাওয়া উচিত এবং যদি কোন কারণে আসর ডকুমেন্ট হারিয়ে যায় তবে সাথে সাথে পুলিশ রিপোর্ট করা উচিত।
গ) ভ্রমণের সময় গভীর রাত্রে কখনো একা বের হওয়া উচিত নয়।
ঘ) হোটেল নির্বাচনের ক্ষেত্রে নিরাপত্তার দিক চিন্তা করে এবং হোটেল থেকে যাতায়াতের সুবিধা-অসুবিধা ইত্যাদি চিন্তা করে হোটেল নির্বাচন করা উচিত এবং সব সময় হোটেলের কার্ড সাথে রাখা উচিত।
ঙ) ভ্রমণের সময় সুস্খ পরিবেশে থাকতে হবে, ভাল খাবার খেতে হবে এবং পর্যাপ্ত পরিমাণ পানি পান করতে হবে ও রেস্ট নিতে হবে, তাহলেই ভ্রমণ আনন্দময় হবে।
চ) ভ্রমণের সময় নিজস্ব লাগেজ/ব্যাগ অবশ্যই ছোট নেওয়া উচিত যাতে চলাফেরা করতে সুবিধা হয়। কারণ অনেক ক্ষেত্রে হাটতে হয় সেই সময় লাগেজ ছোট এবং হালকা হলে তা বহন করতে সুবিধা হয়।
ছ) প্রয়োজনীয় ঔষধ পত্র, ক্যামেরা, ফিল্ম ব্যাটারী, কসমেটিক (সাবান, টুথপেস্ট, টুথব্রাশ, ক্রীম, পারফিউম, সেভিং সামগ্রী ইত্যাদি) নেওয়া উচিত।

c. Avoid demonstrations, especial in politically volatile countries. What appears peaceful can suddenly become a dangerous situation and you could be caught in the middle.

h. Stay healthy by eating well and getting sufficient rest. If you become ill, take care of yourself by getting the proper care.
i. Never leave your pack unattended ; everything you own is in it. A thief knows this and will take advantage of even a few seconds of your inattention. This holds true no matter where you are- in a hotel, at the train station, in the train or bus, at a restaurant or resting a park.
j. In respect to hotel selection one should think over the security and the advantages and the disadvantages of movement and he/she always should keep with him/her the hotel card.
k. During travelling one should certainly take with him/her a small baggage/bag so that he/she feels comfort in movements. Because, in many cases one has to walk and then if he/she possesses a small or light baggage he/she feels easy.
l. One should take with him/her the necessary/prescription medicines, First aid kit, luggage lock and tages, camera, film, battery, toothbrush and toothpaste, soap and shampoo, comb and brush, sunscren, moisturizers, cosmetics, deodourant, contraceptives/condoms, aspirin, tissues, razor blades, eyeglasses, sunglasses etc.
